A Witness to the Beautiful Power of Mother Mary

My Holy Mary Statue

In 1999, my family and I had scheduled a flight to fly to America. The day before I asked my sister in law who lived in Yogyakarta to send me a Holy Mary statue to be put in my new home in America.

My husband, Nico, told my sister in law to deliver the statue in a truck from Yogayakrta to Jakarta, where my family lived. The truck that delivered the statue was the same truck that delivered heavy machinary used by my husband's father.

One morning, the Holy Mary statue was making its way from Yogyakarta to Jakarta in a truck filled with heavy machinaries.

Unfortunately, at 4am that morning, the truck got into an accident in the middle of the highway and the truck rolled over along with the drivers. The police called my family and informed us about the accident; thankfully, the 2 drivers that were inside the truck were alive. The remaining of the truck, the machinaries, and other contents were spread out on the road, broken down in pieces.

The police said that this specific area of the highway were known for having accidents that led to many deaths so it was a miracle that the 2 drivers weren't harm.

Other than the drivers, the Holy Mary statue also made it through the accident with only a small broken piece off her golden crown.

So how could it be that the truck itself, the machines, and every other contents that were in that truck got shattered into pieces and the two drivers and the Holy Mary statue survived?

Police say that the statue saved the driver and when the driver heard about the Holy Mary statue not being broken, they cried.

Now, Holy Mary is placed in our home here in America.

I will keep praying to Holy Mary and all to my family, friend and others to support me and hope my planning will continue according to God's will.

Summer Rosaries

This Summer, I am making mission rosaries to be sent to prisons, churches, and donations for Eternal World Television Network (EWTN).

Making rosaries for Ambassadors of Mary

Mr. Miles Arakaki and I and my rosary donation box

I met Mr. Miles Arakaki at my parish. Mr. Arakaki organizes for the  Ambassadors of Mary: The Pilgrim Virgin Ministry. The basic idea of "The Pilgrim Virgin" is this: Most people are unable to make a pilgrimage to Fatima. Our Lady, with characteristic humility and love, overcomes this difficulty by reversing the process. She becomes the Pilgrim. Instead of your making a pilgrimage to her home at Fatima, she makes a pilgrimage to yours. Through "Pilgrim Statues" Holy Mary crusade from one house to another house to stay in the house for at least one week and when the statue arrive at the house we pray Rosary together.

I donated many rosaries, because Ambassadors of Mary has many " Pilgrim Statues" that visit numerous houses.

In this year 2010, I have donated about 300 rosaries to Mr. Arakaki and will continue to make more for those who needs rosaries to pray with.

Rosaries for Our Troops

These black rosaries that I have made are for our soldiers. These Rosaries are to help the soldiers by giving them the strength and courage to serve God and our country.

Our soldiers need hope to survive and the rosaries serve as a reminder of faith, hope, and courage in the battlefield. I showed my son an inspiring story about a soldier named Michael. When he became wounded he thought he was going to die, but a Saint who was also named Michael wiped out the entire army of the enemy, but when Michael the soldier woke up from his short coma his team mate said he was the one who defeated the enemy.

I hope these rosaries can bring miracles to the soldiers.

Making More Rosaries

I love making rosaries...I feel at peace as I string along each beads.

Mission Sending at Mary Knoll

Attending Mission Sending at Mary Knoll New York.

On December 12, 2009, me, my hsuband, Nico and my son, Patrick headed to New York to attend Mission Sending celebration of Sister Anastasia Lindawati.

Visit their website: http://www.maryknollsisters.org/.

I left my house at 5 am early in the morning. It was winter and the weather was really cold.

I arrived at Mary Knoll around 2 pm and and I waited for a Sister to guide me to my room which Sister Anastasia had already reserved for me a long time. After I dropped off all my belongings we went to the cafetaria for lunch. The bedrom was so beautiful, sort of like a 5 star hotel.

Cafeteria was really nice and there I met father Lucas who came early from Chicago and was also waiting for Sister Anastasia because she was to rehearse for the night mass.

In this event, also present was Mr. Irwan who belongs in Ketua KKI-DC and also his wife, Mrs. Karmi and others friends such as Mrs. Betty and Mr. Ho.

The night came and after we finished the nightly mass, we gathered together in one empty room and talked until midnight.

The next day, we woke-up early in the morning to get breaskfast and walked a little around the Gallery Mary Knoll, where we saw the beautiful gifts from around the country which were brought by the missioners who came back home to Mary Knoll.

Here is a picture of Mother Mary Joseph:

I stood in front of this picture and thought how wonderful it was for God to lead her mission all over the country. Indeed, I want to become a Lay Minister just like her.

Then, we had a big mass in celebration of Vow and Mission Sending for Minister and Lay Minister. I couldn't hold my tears, because one day  I wish to become a Lay Minister too.

After the celebration was done, we had a little trip to the cemetry where the foundress of Mary Knoll was buried and also the Missionaries who died in their duty or retired and lived in Mary Knoll.

We ended the trip eating lunch with Father Lucas and Sister Anastasia.

The World Mission Rosary

In 1951, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen introduced to Catholics and other peples of good will the World Mission Rosary. The World Mission Rosay is designed to inspire prayers for the missions fields of the five continents of the world and for the missionaries who dedicate their lives to preaching the "WORD of GOD".

On February 11, 1951, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes during the Catholic Hour radio broadcast Bishop Sheen made the following comments: " Peace will come only when the hearts of the world have changed. to do this we must pray, and not for our selves, but for the world. The world means everyone..............But we cannot change without prayer, and the power of the Rosary as a prayer is beyond description. For the love of Our Lord and His Blessed Mother, won't you please make a tour to the world on your World Mission Rosary? I know you will."

A portion of this is from Our Lady Rosary Maker story.

The Mission Rosary has five colors : Green, Blue, White, Red and Yellow.
Each decade represents a continent: GREEN for the forests and grassland of Africa; BLUE for the oceans surronding the ISLANDS OF THE PACIFIC; WHITE symbolizing EUROPE, the seat of the Holy Father, sheperd of the world; RED calling to mind the fire of faith that brought missionaries to the AMERICAS and YELLOW, the morning light of the East, for ASIA.

Apparitions Our Lady of Lourdes

St. Bernadette
Saint Bernadette (born Maria-Bernada SobirĂ³s (Marie-Bernarde Soubirous)); 7 January 1844 – 16 April 1879), was a miller's daughter from the town of Lourdes in southern France. From 11 February to 16 July 1858, she reported 18 apparitions of "a small young lady. These claims were eventually declared to be worthy of belief after a canonical investigation, and the apparition is known as Our Lady of Lourdes. After her death, Bernadette's body reportedly remained incorrupt, and the shrine at Lourdes went on to become a major site for pilgrimage, attracting millions of Christians of all denominations each year. On 8 December 1933, she was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church; her Feast Day is celebrated on 16 April. She has been considered a Christian mystic.

Giving away Rosaries at Grotto of Lourdes, Maryland

In October 2006, me, my son, Patrick and my niece, Chelsie went to Grotto of Lourdes at Emmitsburg, Maryland. People came from  all over the state for Pilgrimage. This is very beautiful place: quite, peaceful, and holy.
I come there often to worship, but this time I came with the kids  to do my mission.

I brought 385 rosaries and a donation box and stationed myself in front of the entrance gate. Working together with the Indonesian Community, we greeted people and invited them to take a free rosary. Many people came and generously donated as well.

At the end of the day, all proceeds went back to the Grotto through Father Jack Lombardi who was a wonderful person to have met.

God Bless.
